December 05: Donning multiple hats, yoga instructor Saurabh Bothra’s life has hardly had a bland moment. Hailing from the city of Nagpur, Bothra studied at the prestigious IIT BHU and then left it all to pursue Yogic aspirations.
His experiments with meditation enabled him to acquire a better understanding of life and an even deeper appreciation of the health benefits of Yoga. What emerged from this was a human being who led an active lifestyle and was conscious about living heartily.
He firmly believes that there is no age bar to change one’s habits. Calling such notions stereotypical generalisations, Bothra finds that there is no specific age until which people can change their bad habits or even adopt new ones at a faster pace.
Bothra turned his passion for Yoga into entrepreneurship, and the result led to the germination of an idea that would eventually turn into HABUILD.
At HABUILD, Bothra and his team combine technology with Yoga to help users explore a new paradigm of growth and wellbeing.
“To bring about a shift in people’s mindset, we vigorously emphasise more towards maintaining regular attendance. Once they have developed the discipline, they automatically start making smarter choices be it food or any other aspect,” said the Nagpur-based entrepreneur.
Sharing his insights into what it takes to be a ‘better person, Bothra urges people to build a habit or a routine and then stick to it. On building habits, he vehemently believes that people should start small and begin with things they are more passionate about.
“The first step towards building a habit is to start with something you like to do or are interested in learning, and once you start with the learning process, keep an open mind and be observant of your surroundings,” feels Saurabh Bothra.
