With nearly three decades as an educator and wellness coach, Josephine M Dias turns personal loss into a call to listen to the body before illness takes over.
Panaji (Goa) [India], October 6: Author, educator and wellness coach Josephine M Dias marked a significant new chapter in her journey with the launch of her first book, OMG! Don’t Try Adventure With Your Health: Why Medicine 3.0 is the Smarter Path to Lifelong Health, at the ICA Conclave in Goa, organised by the International Council of Authors . The occasion brought together her personal experiences, professional journey and a message she has been trying to communicate for years: health needs attention before the body reaches a crisis point.During ICA Conclave 2026, Josephine M Dias was also honoured with an Author Award for her debut book OMG! Don’t Try Adventure With Your Health: Why Medicine 3.0 is the Smarter Path to Lifelong Health, marking a meaningful recognition of her transition from educator and wellness professional to published author.
Josephine’s journey towards becoming an author was deeply influenced by personal loss. Having lost both her parents, she witnessed the consequences of waiting too long to recognise signs that something was not right with the body. These experiences strengthened her belief that people need to become more conscious of their health and pay attention to early warning signs rather than waiting for illness to become severe.

“My journey as an author started with a thought: if I cannot convey a message, probably my book will. Too many people went away, including my parents, because we waited too long for signs that the body wasn’t right. I wanted to spread the message of prevention before cure, not just to one person, but to many more,” Josephine said.
The book focuses on the everyday habit of ignoring signals such as persistent fatigue, changes in weight, poor sleep and other changes in how the body feels. Its central message is built around the principle of “Prevention Before Cure”, encouraging readers to become more attentive to their health instead of taking wellbeing for granted.
Drawing on the concept of Medicine 3.0, the book encourages a proactive approach to health and longevity. Rather than waiting for illness before taking action, Josephine asks readers to develop greater awareness of their bodies and make health a consistent part of their lifestyle.
Her message is simple: people often invest significant time and attention in material possessions, careers and responsibilities, but may overlook the body in which they live their entire lives. OMG! Don’t Try Adventure With Your Health encourages readers to “listen to the whispers of the body” before those signals become harder to ignore.
The book is also deeply connected to Josephine’s personal story. She recalls that her mother was the storyteller in the family but never had the opportunity to put her stories on paper. After her mother’s passing, only memories remained. That experience stayed with Josephine and later contributed to her decision to write.
She also credits her mentor Binita Srivastava and her experience during her VG pageant journey for inspiring her to think about the power of books and the messages they can carry. The guidance and encouragement of Inspiring Jatin, Founder of the International Council of Authors, further helped her move from the idea of becoming an author to actually completing the book.
“Writing the book wasn’t easy. My mind was full of so many thoughts, but the guidance, mentoring and push by Jatin Sir worked miraculously. I didn’t know what the outcome would be until I finally held my book in my hands,” Josephine said.
For Josephine, the ICA Conclave Goa launch was particularly meaningful because attending the event itself was uncertain. She had not initially planned to be there, but joined when registration reopened. The opportunity ultimately became a memorable milestone in her journey as an author.
“Getting recognised as an author means a lot to me because I never planned to become one. The ICA Conclave in Goa was something I almost missed, but I believe I was meant to be there. Standing next to Inspiring Jatin and seeing my book become a reality is a memory I will carry forever,” she added.
Published under ISBN 978-93-7500-951-1, the book is aimed at readers who consider themselves healthy but want to develop a more conscious relationship with their health and wellbeing. It encourages reflection on everyday habits and the importance of taking preventive action.
